Last year I participated in a couple of book challenges, and even though I didn't finish them, they were a lot of fun. Since Zoey came along, I hadn't been reading as much, but now that I'm back at school, I find myself with a bit of reading time every weekday morning. :) So I scoured the internet, and found a bunch of reading challenges that sounded good, but I decided to narrow it down to three: Into the Old World Reading Challenge, Chick Lit Reading Challenge, and British Books Challenge. I haven't read much chick lit, so I'm interested to see how I'll do at this one. :)
Some of the books I plan to read...
Into the Old World Challenge:
Twilight (this one is a re-read, but I love it so much!) by Stephanie Meyer
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith
The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory
Chick Lit Challenge:
Twenties Girl: A Novel by Sophie Kinsella
Georgia's Kitchen by Jenny Nelson
Life After Yes by Aidan Donnelly Rowley
British Book Challenge:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory
Bad Faith by Gillian Philip
Obviously some of these will fall into other challenge categories as well. Go me. :)

Soapin' Sunday
Goodness, has it really been that long since I've posted anything? Apparently teaching, soaping, and taking care of our little baby girl takes up all of my time. Go figure... :)
I'd like to start a new weekly staple, Soapin' Sunday. Except that today I'm not making any soap, and I probably won't until after I do end-of-year inventory (bleh).
I did start going through some of the presents and took out the clothes Zoey was gifted so I could include them in the laundry this afternoon, though. My in-laws gave Zoey two sleep sacks. We had been gifted with one a while ago from one of Ben's co-workers, and let me tell you, it really is the best thing ever. Until then, Zoey wouldn't sleep in her bassinet. Every time I laid her down, she would start crying as soon as I took my hands off of her. The very first night we put her in her sleep sack, she slept through the night. It keeps her all snuggly and warm, even if I'm not holding her. I give them two thumbs up. Ben does too, so they get four thumbs up.

Friday Feature
I've been thinking about which blog staples I'd like to continue from my old blog. Friday Feature is something I've done in various forms for a while now, and it's one I'm keeping around. Today's Feature is a bright red treasury I created yesterday on Etsy, featuring some of my EtsyVeg teammates. Enjoy!

Barefoot Hippie Soapworks at the L.D. Bell Craft Fair
Hey, all you North Texas folks! If you've never been to the L.D. Bell High School Craft Fair, you definitely should. This is my first year to be a vendor at it, but I've attended as a holiday shopper many times. This is a big craft fair, guys. Not only can you sniff some yummy Barefoot Hippie soaps, and try out my sugar scrub and lotion, but you can get a lot of your other holiday shopping done too. And don't forget, the gift of soap is one everyone can use.
See you on Saturday!
